Frankenbender Based On The Tonebender MKII
Frankenbender Based On The Tonebender MKII
This is our famous Frankenbender it’s a full vintage build version of the original even the pcb is 1960s. Loved by the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ZZ top the list would go on. It’s possibly the best fuzz most refined pedal from the 60s.
It is true to the original apart from the addition of a boost switch this massively increases the oomph of the pedal and takes it to a whole new level.
The true beauty as with all our pedals is the time and love that goes into building every one of our effects, each component measured tried and tested. This individual pedal represents hours of build and test time and John will only let these out once 100% happy.
- Built with vintage components
- Mullard OC45 and a OC76 transistors circa 1967-69,
- Erie resistors circa 1960s
- Mullard Mustard capacitors circa 1965-67,
- Phillips electrolytic caps circa 1970s
- Gorva Footswitch,
- Switchcraft jacks.
- The whole lump of tone goodness is mounted on original 1960s vero board to finish the effect and housed in a Sand cast replica enclosure with custom paint.
To cap it all off with the addition of our little inverter/buffer the full vintage pedal can be plugged into a conventional power supply and mounted on a pedal board.
